Looking for MSA repair tech in Chicago area
I have an early 70's MSA Classic D10 that originally just had knee levers on the right knee (raising/lowering the E's). I bought a LKR and LKL kit so I could move the E changes to the left knee and do some raises on the right knee. I install the kit, and RKL is working fine. The LKR, lowering the E'...

Thanks for all the responses. For those asking why, I want to switch the knees because I've been playing for 15 years, always with the E's on the left so it's completely throwing me off having them on the right. Paul, I'll give you a call tonight as I'd love your expertise. Thanks all, I'll post an ...

Changing knee levers on a MSA Classic
I just picked up an early 70's D-10 MSA Classic w/ two knee levers. The guitar sounds and plays great, but the knee levers are both on the right knee. RKL raises the E's and RKR lowers the E's. How difficult would it be to move these to the left knee? I'm pretty mechanically inclined and heard MSA's...

For anyone who doesn't want to pay eBay's 10% fees, Reverb.com is only 3.5% (disclaimer, I work at Reverb, but am also a forum member and long time steel player). Reverb is an online marketplace, like eBay, but strictly for musicians. They provide full buyer and seller protection (payment processing...

Robby Turner tone on Sturgill Simpson?
I have become obsessed with Robby Turner's playing and tone on the Sturgill Simpson record High Top Mountain. To me, it's like a weird cross between Buddy Cage and James Burton.
I've heard he plays an Webb 614-E, but anyone have any insight on EQ or effects he might be using?
