Dickey Overbey CD wanted

I am looking for a copy of HonkyTonkMemories.com by Dicky Overbey. I have struck out on the internet. If anyone knows of a source please let me know. The more I listen to his music the more amazed I am at how good he was. Thanks in advance.

Carpsteel replacement tuning nuts

I have a Carpsteel that I want to replace all of the nylon tuning nuts. I have one that is split and a few that turn too easily and require occasional re-tuning of the pull. I need to know the diameter of the pull rods on the Carpsteel. I don't have a caliper. They looked like 1/8 inch, so I ordered...

I can't buy it, but I just had to say that is the most stunningly beautiful National I have seen in a very long time. Good luck with your sale.

I recently purchased my first PSG from a forum member. May not be a blue darlin', but it will be my little blue angel. Carpsteel Beginner Pro. Dark blue aluminum body.

spoke to Tony

Thanks all. I just spoke to Tony Prior. Hopefully with his help I can get the guitar set up like I want and start trying to learn on it. Wish me luck.

New to pedals and need advice

I have just a little experience with a dobro, and recently took delivery of a pedal steel (used Carpsteel). I would like to have it gone over, checked out, and set up by a knowledgeable person. The copedent is non-standard on a couple of the knee levers, and I am reluctant to do much with that. I ha...

body color and material

I play a little dobro and am interested in starting on pedal steel. I am unfamiliar with Carp. Is the body aluminum? I am on my phone right now, but it looks like the body is a dark blue. Am I correct? How old is the guitar? Too bad I no longer live in Hattiesburg. It would have been a quick drive t...

I appreciate all of the replies. I still like the sound of the combined G6/9, but I did rearrange it as follows, high to low - DBGEAG. I found that some others on the forum have used this string arrangement. At least it is easy to revert to G6 or standard G if I want to. I am not planning to just le...

New member with tuning question

New member and lifelong steel fan. I owned a OMI Dobro for many years, but never found time to learn much. I wound up selling it several years ago to help my son out. I am getting older and have a bit more time to start learning again. Anyway, I recently bought a Chinese Regal that sounds very much ...
