Here an alternative for $220.00 to $300.00. The SPARK amp is a practice amp at 40 watts. Here's some samples I played on. Re: humbuckers

I have used humbuckers for many years with both pot pedals and active pedals. Currently have a BL XR-16 in my Carter and I'm using a Hilton pedal. The XR-16 "isn't quite as hot or bright" as a 710, and sounds great in my Carter with either my Goodrich pot pedal or my Hilton active pedal. ...

Thanks all.

Well, if the 710 was originally geared towards pot pedals, yet has no real issues with active pedals, sounds like I can’t go wrong - excellent news

Do BL 710s have issues with active volume pedals?

I have a single neck sho~bud w/original single coil that I love, but I'm finding that I have noise issues in certain playing environments. I'd like to try a humbucker in its' place, and was about to order a Bill Lawrence 710, but saw a post where somebody said that they don't do well with active vol...

I really appreciate both the initial post and Paul's response here. Accuracy aside, anybody willing to take the time and post tutorials like you do deserves thanks. Even if they are approximations of parts, they can serve as a quick reference of what is basically going on in a riff, and allow player...

Jim I'm starting to realize that I'm probably going to hold out for a guitar of similar vintage and feel, i.e. another 'Bud. Thanks though!

'76 Sho~Bud Pro II *trade pending*

Looking to trade this 1976 8x4 Sho~Bud Pro II double neck for a single neck guitar of some kind. I’m really hesitant to part with it, but I would for the right S10. I’m not inclined to convert my guitar to an SD10, as it would be a shame to alter such a pristine ‘Bud like this one. Top to bott...

I read somewhere that the Steel King doesn't do well with single coil pickups with hum etc- can anybody confirm or deny this claim? My main guitar is an old Sho~Bud with original single coils, so the claim spooked me from buying one of these amps.

To watch Lloyd do that riff (at about 19:33) in One Hundred Years From Now, an astounding 50 years later, is nothing short of incredible. Still not sure how he gets that "skipping around" sound on that riff - I've heard others get close but no cigar. What an absolute treat to watch Lloyd a...
