Looking for private lessons

Hello everyone,
I'm having trouble with books and DVDs as lessons. I don't want to start any bad habits . I live in the Santa Cruz california area and wanted to see if anyone knows of lap steel teachers for private lessons in the area or even San Jose . Any info would help, thank you....Thomas.

Hello steelers, Curios about vintage national finger picks. I see people paying $25- 30 per pick. I know nothing about their differences , pat no. , best years made .... Do the vintage ones sound better or attack different than new. I also see a reissue style national to. Can some one clear this up ...

Here is my 1938 Oahu. Comes from the same dickerson family. Oahu decal on tulip headstock and oahu on the pickup cover. The same greenish mots covering as yours. Very cool sounding steels....
