Oddly enough, when I heard him play for the first time, I wanted to QUIT guitar! So much talent!

bOb put up a puzzle of a stereo kazoo. https://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=2825e205e3bf Can anyone verify if this is a true advertisement? I mean... does that kazoo play doubly loud as it claims? I'm in a band where I'm presently having trouble cutting through. Page had his double-neck... ...

An amazing and enthusiastic performer! I'm sorry I've not known of him until now. A real loss. I'm glad we at least have a small way here of memorializing him.

I went to Bill's home once and bought a bar and an amp from him. He invited me to the Middle Tennessee Steel Guitar group's meeting. John Hughey and Buddy Emmons were there (didn't play, but they were there). I took my dad with me... he was a bass player (country) and it was one of the best shows we...

She was interviewed for the Vietnam documentary by Ken Burns. She lost a son in that conflict, and she recounted some words she'd had for some Vietnam protestors that came to her door. She didn't mince words about not supporting their protest... let me just say that. I realized upon seeing that just...

I use RealBand to generate RealTracks which I then port to Reaper to add to my studio recorded live tracks and other parts like drums generated in EZDrummer. It's pretty intuitive to learn. In my case I simply type in a chord sequence and let RealBand generate the tracks which I then convert to wav...

Sad Loss...

Sad news about your mother... but a fitting commentary on her love of good music. It's tough to lose a friend like that, I know.

Memorable Fella

I went to his home to buy an amp. Met his wife and all. Very nice people. He invited me to a steel guitar show. I took my dad along and Bill was there to greet us. He left a lasting impression on me as far as instilling the value of basic human kindness to strangers. He was one of the nicest guys I'...

Hard Loss

Nothing is as loyal as a family pet, IMO. I've lost 2 rescue dogs from cancer. As you say, one day they're fine, then there's an appetite problem followed by the dead-end diagnosis. I stayed with each through the end, and that is a tough thing to do. I've never made it out of the vet's office withou...

Bad news, Indeed.

I loved their big hit, Third Rate Romance, right from the get-go... a lot because of that really clean and well-mixed-in guitar work.

Russell's writing didn't hurt it one bit, either. He'll be missed.

So Sorry...

Damir...

Very sorry to hear of this great person's passing. I thought the same of my Dad, who I lost to pancreatic cancer -- that he would live to be 100. It's sad to lose someone so otherwise healthy and vital.

Best Wishes,
Jeff Smith

I have a Peavey Tube-Fex preamp that I got on a trade many years ago. It doesn't work. If memory serves, there's a battery issue. So it may only be good for parts... I dunno. If anyone wants it, here's the deal I'll make you. Tell me you'll take it, give me your address, and show me proof where you ...

https://www.jigsawplanet.com/?rc=play&pid=229745b32b31 I'm not advocating working this puzzle, but how the heck does someone, anyone, including our own puzzle kingpin Craig Stock, work this in 46 seconds? That's like two pieces per second, nearly. Is this person on another planet? Maybe one wher...
