Rocky, it's a single coil that is made by Doug, sounds great!!!

James I carry mine a LOT,so the weight is a big deal, I'll probably use it more than the others, I can leave a couple set up all the time, one in a club I play regular and one at my church ( hey I'm Methodist it's ok ), then when traveling just use the Encore.

I have the reissue Lane was talking about the Mahoney Buzz Tone, thru a Session 500 it sounds pretty close...highs at about 3...mids about 5 and lows about 8...
