I didn’t know Zane personally. But, I did meet him once at Jeff Newman’s school in Nashville. It must have been 1979 or 1980. He was playing a keyless BMI. He made a big impression on me that day as a teenager. Hal Rugg, Buddy Emmons and Jeff playing bass, as I recall., we’re on stage. That little s...

This is such sad news. The SF has always been my first source when I needed an answer to a steel guitar question. Bob thanks for all you’ve done. RIP I send my thoughts and prayers to his family.

I also had a front row seat for Randy's set on Sunday. Just amazing is all I can say. Randy plays with such emotion. My wife was also with me. she commented that Randy's hand looked like a ballet dancer. It was so smooth. I never looked at it that way. But, she's not wrong.

WOW!This was great. I only heard Zane play a couple of times live. The first time I was a teenager. It was at Jeff Newman's school. The place was packed when I got there. But, I managed to work my way up front. Zane Was set up stage left just off the stage. I think Buddy and Hall was on stage. I sat...

I see my sons big head on the front row. He's at the end of the tuning keys on Herby's guitar. If that kid was at a steel show he was getting a front row seat. He didn't care how many old ladies he had to run over. I loved herby. I only lived 60 miles from him when he lived in Chattanooga. We ...

It was great to see Randy on stage again. He played with so much emotion. About half way in his set I heard an older gentelman behind me say, "imagine if he had a double neck guitar." I just looked at my wife and smiled. He couldn't have been better.

I love my Mullen Discovery as well! For those wondering, it is not a student model. It is a lightweight, professional pedal steel. It plays, tunes, sustains and sounds very similar to my Mullen G2. Being it's under 50 pounds in the case, it's perfect for fly dates. It's so good, I've used it on reg...

Carter Universal 12 string 5X7 SOLD

A Carter Univdrsal 12 string guitar 5X7 Copednet I'm asking $1800 plus shipping. The guitar has been in my nonsmoking music room since I purchased it. It has a few scratches on the back apron. But, due to the black mica they are hard to see and impossible to photography. The guitar is in great shape...
