Interestingly. I was, looking at the comments on one of Bill Sutton's videos and he was using a Peavey TNT 130 bass amp. Sounds great!

Although it seems to me that neither tabs are totally correct. Anyway, the reason I posted this was because of the speed that JayDee pulls it off. Some people are super quick (think Mohammed Ali). I'm not that way and I can't get all the way there. Seems to me that not only is JayDee a master, but p...

Now I'm sure I'm wrong lol! The tab I used, at the end of the solo used an open 3rd string which doesn't work in C. Works in D with the B pedal.

The tab I used was in key of C and different from the above tab. From a long time ago. If I remember right it was in one of the magazines.or I could be wrong!

Agree 100% Duck! Loved it the first time I heard it, the story goes that the Ray Stevens hit was just them jamming, warming up, not sure but it went out and got great attention, it's a great one by Ray and JayCee.

JayDee Misty solo

JayDee picks so fast! I can't do the solo and I've been trying for a good 30 years now. I love Mr. Manness' style. And I gotta say that the DRB was the best country-rock group ever! For me anyway!

Paul Franklin drove this subject home and parked it in the garage.

Also, listen to Mr. Chalker for the gutting technique similar to what a jazz organ would do.

And, it took me several years to realize bar placement vs where the picks are. The higher your bar, the closer to the bridge the picks.

I'd love to have a Sarno. Cost is the issue for me. I really enjoy my Tube Pre. It adds a richness (harmonics, overtones? I imagine so). It wouldn't have the dynamic range of a high plate voltage design, I don't think. Probably mostly an issue when recording (idle noise). I swapped the Tube for a 12...

One I have learned recently is lower string 9 a half tone, use the B pedal. String 9 becomes the third, 6 becomes root, 5 is the two note, and string 4 is the fifth.

Does anybody lower the 10th string to A? Is it on a special lever or a "standard" one?
