Jon, I've never added this change, nor do I have a reason to. If you say it won't work? I respect your opinion. However, I feel confident I could add this change, or I would have never posted my opinion. If he plans to not lower string 2 more than a half step with any pedal or knee lever on his guit...

Will make for a stiff knee lever. But yes, you can time the 2nd string to lower to D before the other strings start lowering. A pedal might be better suited for these changes. Or maybe put the low side changes on a knee opposite of your current 2nd string lower??

We opened for Conway maybe 1/2 dozen times in 69 and 70. Back then they were flying to gig's. The venue operator or show promoter was responsible for all amps and drums. Package shows were no big deal. They used other bands drums and amps. In our case we had good amps and drums. So they used our stu...

Don't think it was Pete. Won't give my reason for ruling him out. Don't want to offend anyone. No way for me to know for sure who it was. But If I had to guess, I'd vote Stu.

Same experience as Bob Hoffar. In most cases only the player will notice. However, you can ask. But I doubt you could pay Paul Franklin to use light weight legs. I've been wrong before. And I may be this time. Maybe he'll see this thread and chime in.

If the pedal travel is factory specks. Carter would advise going a 1/2 or a full notch higher on the bellcranks. But different strokes for different folks. I've always been a cowboy and set my personal guitars to suit me. To me. my guitars always played better than factor specks. Others my might dis...

Not sure what you're referring to. I have 7 or 8 ball joints that connect the pedal rod to the pedals. These fit a Mullen G2. Maybe all Mullen guitars? Perhaps they'll fit other guitars as well.

If it's on a vertical you'll want it in the top hole. For Shorter travel with the knee lever. Pushing up and splitting the A&B pedals is not easy for most.

Buddy played one that color. So did I and many others. Didn't make it one of John's. Bruce has no reason to mis-lead anyone. And I can assure you he remembers every guitar he ever built for John. Maybe every guitar he ever built period.

Dad's first Steel Guitar ?

I think this might have been my dad's first steel. Most likey a mail order guitar he bought second hand. No monetary value just curious what year it might be. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-03/144_IMG_20211121_125633861_1.jpg https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-03/144_IMG_2021112...

If it were Black,Rosewood, or Red. I'd say late 92. Since it's a less popular color, it could be several years later. Makes no difference. It's the same guitar if it's a 91 thru 99. I should state that some of the 91's had 4 hole bellcranks but most had 14. The CO. was sold around 99.Never owned one...

I think a lot of us old timmers can relate. Also, it's cramed with pedal steel. Should go over pretty well here.

Unless it was a custom order? There are no aluminum neck SD-10 bolt ons. Well, you could find a cut down D-10 I suppose. The P/p SD or ST as they called them were introduced in maybe 1969 or 70??
Best of luck with your seach.

Never heard of a 64 S-10. Ron built maybe a half dozen or so 65's that went to Canada. They were ordered by a music school I think. I've forgotten the story. Would guess there were a few others built for guys in the states. Ron never talked about pre 66's to me at least. I mentioned once that I had ...
