It really depends on the guitar. I started on a Mullen Discovery and initially learned to play barefoot. When I had a Mullen G2 built I asked them to round over the edges of the pedals a bit. Total barefoot comfort. I made the same request to Gary Rittenberry when he built my Prestige and it is perf...

http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1504/14123_image_3.jpg This is what you kinda hope for when the pickup is described as a "blade". This is a picture of my "everything is perfect Clinesmith." I know, a totally unfair comparison. The Electar is a good steel for the money. It ...

http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1504/14123_image_1.jpg One showed up at my house today. Sound is good. String spacing at the nut is a bit funky, but other than that it has a good cosmetic finish. Very light weight. Hard to complain about much considering the low cost. This one was ordered in ...

I had Mullen round the edges of the pedals a bit when they built my G2 and I play it barefoot with no discomfort. I have a MSA Millennium that is not a barefoot guitar due to much greater pedal resistance and I need to wear moccasins with it. These moccasins are perfect for pedal steel and will form...
