Steel Guitars of Nashville

Does anybody know the status of Steel Guitars of Nashville? I periodically check their website, and it seems like it has the same guitars on it that were there two years ago:

https://www.steelguitarsofnashville.com

Are there any other stores on the I64, I65, or I75 corridors?

Apologies if anything I wrote added to the confusion. In short, all I was saying was you might considering adding the 7th string raise on the lever that lowers 2 and 9. I wouldn't see any need for you to make any other changes as long as you're happy with the existing set-up. Heh it’s no problem ...

Lower g# with split on B vs raise F#

Hey everybody. Just fiddling around with copedent ideas and would like some feedback. I have a triple raise double lower changer. My question is about F# and g# strings. I have a knee lever raising 1 and 2. On that lever, I can also 1) lower g# split with b, with gives me every note on the fret Or 2...

Sho bud knee lever bracket

Hello,
I have an old super pro with a broken knee lever bracket. LKR, i think it is called the “standard” type (as opposed to a jumper).

PSG Parts is currently out of stock. Where else might I find one (or two) of these?

Re: Amp setup

I am still relatively new to steel guitar and have been playing a Mullen RP sd-10 straight through a fender blues jr. I am sure most folks on here are familiar with the amp, 15 watt all tube. I’m having a hard time getting the right sound out of the amp. It always sounds dry and like it’s lacki...

Nice tone, I like the chord progression, your sounding very good, I really enjoyed your playing. What amp was you playing though? What are your amp settings? How far have you come with the Franklin's steel course? Thanks, Ken Hi Ken, It’s an older Nashville 112 plugged in direct to a cheap Behrin...

New video, PFM student.

Hi Everyone, Just wanted to share a video of me playing some basic e9 stuff. I’ve been doing the Paul Franklin Method, and I’ve been working on getting around the 4 groups, open, pedals down and A+F. It’s pretty amazing how much you can play with just AB and Fiddling with the Es. Please feel f...

Custom fretboard

Hello.
Any idea where I can get a custom fretboard like this one? Do these just get printed on card stock or something? Card stock would work, except maybe it wouldn’t last very long.

Maybe bend the string just a bit on the knot at the end.

It doesn't take much, just the curvature of your finger, and there's enough material there to hold the shape, which makes a little curve that slips into the small space without the ball getting in the way.

Worked for me anyway. 8)

Also, I just tried to tune RKL to raise 1 to G# (instead of G), with similar results. The knee lever doesn't quite raise it enough, so I adjust the nylon on string 1, but then it starts (I suppose) pushing on the finger and affecting the open tuning of the string. It's like "there's not enough ...
