Del Mullen has used nickel plated steel end plates for over 30years,better looking, no polishing needed, lighter weight, So if
end plates effect tone, there's no better tone than
a Mullen. Make mine a Mullen.

It keeps it from bumping!

He chrome plated them. Of course he did not use aluminum.
