I always drive out the pins and replace with a small bolt and a locking nut Then you can adjust the handle up or down.

Those are called E clips. Available at Ace hardware stores. Ken

I have a broken leg on an old pac a seat. Hoping to find someone with a nonrepairable seat that I could buy one or two legs from. Mine is too far gone to be refurbished just trying to get it seviceable. Thanks, Ken

Any way to check cable to make sure its uninsulated if you can't expose inside terminals to see?
