Thanks Joe. Working with nitro lacquer is a learning process for sure. The key word is patience--never rush any stage of the process. I highly recommend using primer under the color coats. In my experience, primer is the best way to show what minor defects or pore fills still exist after a sealer co...

At 12.75 inches wide, this bag should fit a Fender Dual Pro. It's available through Amazon for $66.95. It's a little long, but some high density foam will fix that. https://on-stage.com/products/view/13988/588883 https://www.amazon.com/On-Stage-KBA4049-49-Key-Keyboard-Bag/dp/B07N4CQ96J/ref=psdc_4910...

Yes, the early Fender method involved using a lazy susan turntable, with the guitar body elevated by nails in the pickup cavities. You can see a quick shot at about 10:07 in the video below. To be period correct you really should take your shirt off. Having the body surface horizontal allows t...

Electronic Ear Plugs

Has anyone had experience with electronic ear plugs?

The Etymotic brand looks interesting, but I'd have to be pretty sure before spending $300.

Thanks for whatever insights you share.

Thanks for posting this John. Great stuff. I'm a fan of Joe Talbot.

By the way, the fiddler was Robert "Chubby" Wise, born in Lake City, Florida. He was a great musician.
