What ever you're experiencing moving to a wound 6th string may not make any difference. On my Stage One I use 0.11 plain on the 3rd and 0.20 plain on the 6th. It works fine.

I assume you're aware of the the Strobostomp HD's ability to change the tuning when you hold the footswitch and tap the strings? Also, you can color code the different tunings. These things make the need for separate tunings a bit less painful.

I look forward to hearing it. What is the advantage of using rollers on a non-pedal steel? Hi Bill, the roles are already the preparation for palm benders, unless I think there are better sustains, best regards The other advantage is the ability to slide into and out of the zero fret. More non-peda...

Thanks for the ideas! I tried replacing the tuning nuts since that is pretty simple. It didn't help. Then I noticed the bell-cranks were angled more towards the changer that I remembered positioning them (this whole thing started because I had to swap out a broken bell- crank). I re-positioned them ...

Problem with A pedal tuning - 5th string drifting flat

I have a problem on my all-pull guitar with the A pedal. If I back off the tuning nuts for the 5th and 10th strings and then tune the A pedal for the 5th string it works fine - it stays in tune. But when I attempt to tune the 10th string A pedal the C# on the 5th string goes flat and keeps drifting ...

Couple questions..... I have the Stroboplus HD. It is a great pedal that I just couldn’t live without for PSG! Considering “upgrading” to this new one. I like that it has 9V power. As a pedalboard user, this provides seamless integration with my setup. Right now, I use the Stroboplus HD and m...

Interesting thread. Thanks for sharing David. I loaded your reverbs. Very nice!

For others trying this, SIR1 would not work for me on Windows 10 64-bit. Cantibile would not load it. However SIR3 worked. SIR3 requires a paid license.

Have not tried but keen to! The current StroboPlus HD is good but not giggable IMHO due to its flimsiness. Also, they seem to have fixed the display so it's viewable from any angle - no more "is that an A or B note?". :)

It's just shorthand. The b7 is the most famous 7 chord so we just say "7" and everyone knows what we mean, the same as when we refer to Elvis Presley we can just say "Elvis" and everyone knows who we mean. I get that it's shorthand. I'm just curious what the proper/correct name ...

So why is the chord called “G7” when the “F” note is really a b7 in the key of G? Wouldn’t you call that a “Gb7” chord? It's just shorthand. The b7 is the most famous 7 chord so we just say "7" and everyone knows what we mean, the same as when we refer to Elvis Presley we ca...

I like Hoffmeyers - Custom preferred as the wider band offers a bit more stability but Standard is also good.

I like them because the band is right, the thickness is right and the finish is great - very well polished!

It's interesting that the jacks are in reverse order to "normal". I guess because that's how they are on the model with the jacks at the front? I suppose it's no big deal. Though I don't think I like the power right at the front. But then again, I don't like to have to power a volume pedal...

I didn't get mine from a steel vendor, just from a generic seller on ebay. Yes, they have a flat milled section on the shaft. I screwed the set screw directly onto this flat section which seemed to work but a completely round shaft would be better. The answer to wiring those studs is "with diff...

How to adjust nylon hex nut to tune E9 2nd string half-stop?

Hi, I have a half-stop on my 2nd string that seems to work by the end of the 9th string nylon hex nut hitting the 9th string changer finger before it engages the finger. The half-stop is sharp. I think I have to adjust the 9th string hex nut so the end is closer to the changer finger. I have no clue...
