He was a wonderful man and his family has created a page on facebook https://www.facebook.com/pages/In-Loving-Memory-of-...

The Love of a Steel Guitar

When I got married I had 2 wishes... I wanted it at sunset I wanted to walk down the aisle to Elvis' Can't Help Falling in Love - on the pedal steel. The steel player in the band probably thought I was a nutcase but he gave in and learned it for me and to this day it's one of the most beautiful rend...

I have nothing to do with the industry Leo.. I moved mom here 3 years ago and I take care of her and run a bookkeeping service... I lead a very quiet life - just miles from many I used to call friends - completely and totally... anonymously. Most of my friends would be AMAZED at the life I once lead...

I'm not sure whats next for 30 Music Square or Music Row itself...the fact is, it hasn't felt like Music Row for a while. More and more houses that used to have signs outside welcoming visitors and fans to various artists offices... production companies... management venues - are being torn down rep...

I hope the new owners find a way to do what they want and save the studio... one reason I moved here was because Nashville preserved it's past while modifying and updating to make room for progress.. that is becoming less and less of a priority and it breaks my heart.

I blame Mutt Lange.. he started a lot of that in country music with Shania.. Also.. you cant perfect and tweak a voice on stage like you can in the studio (stand near the stage monitor sometime at a Brooks and Dunn show and you'll have a whole new appreciation for Ronnie)~ so they cheat... also help...

I remember his first appearance on the ACMs... he had to do 1:30 of Amarillo by Morning as he walked across the stage.. a near impossible feat and it took a long time to get that footage. So long, my best friend who was watching rehearsals sang it to me back at the hotel that night verbatim, over an...

Todays "country" music is noting more than what was referred to as top 40 in the 70's... I listened to and worked for KGBS/KTNQ from 76-80 as my day job and what I'm hearing now.. sounds a LOT more like the am pop side and nothing like the fm country side! Breaks my moms heart listening to...

Yes, I was on the radio at LAVC as well.. as Brandy Somers, also served as the Attorney General in the Student Government. Let me get something straight, my dad was not a musician or a singer, that was a different Bill Boyd. My dad was a DJ and Producer. Don't wanna be confusing the two and giving h...
