Yes tube amps, something "simple" so to say without any circuit boards. I know how to solder and I am fairly knowledgable/understanding of voltages and how power loads work. Once I read through some instructions or guides, and maybe use ye olde Google to refresh my memory of certain things...

Interested in building my own amp.

I saw the thread about the poor mans homemade little walter and had already been thinking of building my own amp. I was curious where one could find diagrams for the wiring and how much know how really is needed to build a few different types of point to point amps of various power ranges and variet...

I had a similar issue and found that after 40 years this thing called 'friction' had taken its toll on the some pieces that were touching and grinding on each other and small bits of metal had accumulated and caused it to not return to its normal position. I just took a q tip and some type of lube (...

He only describes 3 of his pedals on the c6 neck and I'm very curious as to what his full c6th set up is currently, levers and all. Anyone have more insight?

He doesn't really get fully into the c6th neck copedant... Anyone have more insight to his setup other than that? Maybe Paul could key us in? I'm about to rearrange my c6 copedant and would really like to know what he has where before I do.

I play mine in socked feet because my legs are too darn long to wear shoes. I do notice MUCH more control when playing in socks than with shoes or boots.

I love the way it sounds and I never have a problem with the other instruments in the group tuning to ...

Re: Stratocaster tremolo set up properly

I finally set my tremolo arm on my strat properly. Did you guys know that it is intended to raise the low E, A, D and B a whole step, G 1 1/2 steps and the high E a half step? If you strum the high three string of an open D chord and then raise the tremolo arm it raises the first three strings to w...

Take me out to the ball game tab?

Does anyone have or know of a tab for take me out to the ball game?

I was thinking of sending a recording in to enter the contest to have it featured during Game 4 of the World Series.

Thanks

So would it make more sense to call the 1&7 half step raise the G and call the 1&7 whole w/ 2 half step raise the G# lever to avoid the confusion there?

I believe the confusion stems back to the days when the 3 stock E9 pedals were getting named as the "A", "B", and "C" pedals, in order from left to right. Their designations didn't have anything to do with music or notes, just physical position. So, after that, I think...

Those are the names I use. I think that a lot of people call B  Bb the "X" lever. I like that b0b, the X lever. As "B" has already been taken as a pedal, and I understand the ABC versus 123 because of day and Emmons, when you could just as well say 321, but those are comm...

Yeah I agree that things out of the norm should be described as what they do, or a professionals lever that has become somewhat standard such as the franklin pedal. But for these four levers that are found on nearly every pedal steel made today, why not start simplifying it and get everyone on the s...

I doubt i would make a switch like that, but where are your E>Eb(D#) and E>F levers with the two split as such. I have both of those on LKR and lkl, respectively.

Thanks for the insight, jerry. I was thinking it would have an effect on it but I didn't know if it would hurt the feel if removed or not. The added tension makes it not so easy to get to the full lowered position. I'm sure the reduced tension will help with that too, right?
