Shipping anthing isn't advisable.
I shipped a "Show Guitar" made by Sierra, When UPS was done with it, It was trash.. I got $2800 for my trash, But still the Guitar was gone. UPS is just like a bad neighbor, down the street, they promise you the moon & give you Hell. Nobody cares, like you do. Maybe shipping has to be ...

Selling my Steel
Thanks Charlie, I'm partially selling it, to save my home. I need some money, because my SS & pension isn't enough. We are fine, but since my Mother passed on, we don't need a 5200 Sqft home. It costs too much to insure or maintain. It's catching up to my budget. A few grand will last me more th...

Cracked Body
I had an MSA S12 once, about 30 years ago. It cracked on me under the strings & fret board plate. I built a new cabinet & refinished it in about a week. The burl wood top was pretty as could be found. I took all the gear & transferred it , one piece at a time, until the guitar was re-bui...

new to the Steel
sounds like you unfortunately bought a great steel with the awfully bad Emmons setup, only a Contortionist's Mother would love it. The Day Way Setup, modded for U12 makes it so much easier to play.

Decals
Look up Decals on the internet. Find someone that will make you two (2) , take a picture of what you have, & ask if they will do some artwork for you. Get them to send you a pic of what the end product will look like & you are ready for a new look. You have to decide if you want a translucen...

Start off at $2500.00 & go up from there. You can't replace it for that. You might decide to keep it, if it sets awhile. But if you give it away, it'll be gone a long time...

Sierra sold too Cheap.
I would have asked $3000.00 & felt charitable. Those guitars are bulletproof, sound great & never wear out. The folk's in the Steel Guitar Community complained about the weight & ruined the company. The Sierra & the MSA were the precision guitars of the era. I won't say any more....

Future of Steel Guitar
As long as the songwriters keep favoring Country RAP, Steel Guitar is gonna be a small part of Country Music. I haven't bought a CD since 1990. When I have walked in a CWM Joint & there's no steel, I turn & walk away. If they are gonna play Rock n Roll Rap or Country Crap, they can play it f...

Right Hand proper Working.
I have been playing a Steel Guitar since 1955, but I played it incorrectly, for most of that time. Last year, I watched a Joe Wright Video & & felt like QUITTING.... Joe, in a few moments, brought it to my attention, that I have been wasting valuable time. Time is valuable in many ways, but ...

That's too cheap....
It will never be worth less, than it is RIGHT NOW & now it should be bringing $4500- $5000.. Make them pay something for something you couldn't make today, for a lot more money. With today's technology, a good tweaking would make that GREAT Instrument, even better...
