Re: Sierra Knob Replacements
[quote="Tom Baker"]Happy Holidays Everyone, Sierra still has nice anodized aluminum replacements for the pesky plastic leg and pedal bar knobs found on Sierra Crown series and earlier Sierra Steel models. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ I wish...

Create, play and print sheet music for free with MuseScore
I have found this app to be about the best alternative to BIAB. It gets a top user feedback rating compared to other open source BIAB alternatives. Musescore is an open source BIAB alternative that "will import BIAB files". http://musescore.org/en ------------------------------------------...

sealed string packs
Indeed, sealed string packs are the way to go. As a 6 string player out 4-5 nights a week I would replace the set every 2 or 3 days depending on how hard I was playing. I used GHS Boomer open packs then. Now because I don't play out much and string sets sit around for a while I began to notice they ...

mod chips
Don't pay more for the OPA2604 than you have to. They are not that special. The Signetics NE5532 is a great chip. If you really want the Bur Brown OPA2604 you can get them from Mouser for $4.28. http://www.mouser.com/Search/Refine.aspx?Keyword=OPA2604 or from Ebay - Bur Brown OPA2604 from China for ...

Hi Lenny, My fingers are quite long but not large. I suppose for as cheap as they are I will most likely go with the Dunlop 921 7/8 x 3 3/4 unless I can find something a little longer. I just thought that someone would be making longer ones for the 12 to 14 string psg's. Must be a special order thin...

Tone bar size
Greetings all. Upgrading from lap steel to a psg Sierra Session S-12. I've kinda decided to go with a 7/8 but wondered about length. I've haven't seen any longer than 3 3/4 except for some glass ones ...ain't going there. I'm looking at the Dunlop 11.5oz model 921 with a price of $18 on Ebay for lac...

I'm done with ink jets. Bought a Brother H3070CW for $179 on Ebay. Plugged it into my router to share it with the other computers. Never had a problem since. It always works.

angled thumb picks
Have any of you tried the ZOOKIES pics? They are thumb picks(not sure if they make finger) but they help me a lot with their unique design. For that matter an angled thumb pick can also provide for a more comfortable hand position. Zookies come in 10, 20 and 30 degree. Problem is that they come in ...

If you are on the road performing for a living a late model Sierra is the way to go. You want to have a psg that stays in tune and doesn't break down, plays, feels and sounds the same in every venue. Second ...if your like me you may want to play what your teacher has. In my case that's a Session S1...

Sierra tone
I agree the pickup can have much to do with the tone ...on any psg. Just like a Les Paul 6 string electric, using that neck position pickup has more tone so will a psg the more the pickup is positioned away from the bridge. Second, it's where you pick the strings. Move your hand position away from t...

Looking for advice on what open source Biab app works best and on what OS flavor. I use Ubuntu 12.04 LTS
