I second that, I was fortunate to find one of these here in the UK and it beat all the competition hands down. Just trying to find an 8 string now.

Hi Kay Das, Nearly but not quite if you meant the bells at St Pauls (cathedral.
Its Bow Bells from St Mary le Bow in Cheapside. Mind you that's only a short "ball of chalk" down the "frog and toad" to St Pauls!
My old stamping ground :) .

Hi folks, I wanted to give this post a bump up to the top of the listing for a couple of reasons. Firstly, I became the proud owner of some resonator guitars from Ray's collection today - great guitars but sad, albeit enormously important, reason for their sale i.e. to help pay Ray's residential car...

Hi Rick - by "Frugalhorn" are you referring to the cheaper Wechter Sheerhorn?. I might be looking at one of those in the UK if my Gold Tone search comes to nothing. What do you think of them?

Hi Dave - thanks for the update that yours is still available. Yours is certainly a nice looking instrument and I recall Brad (mod here) saying they were very good for the money. There have been a few "possibilities" since I exchanged the e-mail enquiry about your guitar, one was a very ni...

Just wanted to add my thanks for the contributions here too. I am also looking to upgrade to an intermediate squareneck (ie Gold Tone / Wechter - Scheerhorn). Only problem is that here in the UK they are hard to come by and when you do they are darned expensive in relation to US prices. I saw the ne...

Hi - did you mean "width" as opposed to length?.
I have the SP1 and found it too long, I also wanted the bullet tip and got a Shubb SP2, its shorter than the SP1 has a bullet tip one end and flat the other and feels just right!
Cheers, Mike.

Ive just taken delivery of a new Shubb SP2 - solid stainless steel - and at £28 (GB £s) its brilliant, very quiet, very smooth, great, size, weight and shape - feels much better than my plated Shubbs. Im afraid I dont have the money to go for these Daddy Slides but Im not sure that my playing would ...

Thanks for your responses guys. Slides - I seem to have collected 7 already (!), bottlenecks are somewhat fewer as I got one that suited about 20 years ago (I got two in fact) and still have these, I did get a Diamond bottleneck from Catfish Keith at one of his gigs but it doesnt suit as well as the...

Beard Wave Capo - how does it attach?

Hi - I use a Shubb capo which works fine but I find it a bit of a hassle threading the metal bar under the strings and over the fret before clamping it in place. But once in place it does its job well. I was wondering about an alternative and looked at the Beard Wave but cant see how it attaches? Lo...
