Love the input. As a inventor of thumb and finger picks I have been watching this conversation for 10 years when there is a simple solution. Picks that are adjustable and DO NOT stay on by clamping on your cuticles. The solution is 2,000 years old just look at your left hand, does your wedding ring ...

Jeff I am a banjo player of 35 years and I decided to create picks that stayed in place and did not hurt. Why, after 50 years, had no one looked at the fingers and thumb and addressed the problem? I hold 3 US Patents for picks. First a picks work fine when you put them on with your fingers straight,...

Tony If you have a set of SADDLE picks why don"t you try to stamp the small "V" in the base of the pick as I suggested above and see if they sound like the .25 gauge. Metal can be made stiffer by forming as well as by making it thicker. In answer to my question above, is because you l...

Carlos These are .20 gauge nickel/silver. I know steal players like a heaver pick, but I have never understood if they like .25 gauge because they are heaver or if it is because of the thicker material makes it stiffer. If is because of the stiffer material you can make thin metal stiffer by forming...

Hal, I feel your pain but I did something about it and designed a pick that does NOT clamp on your finger.
