Question

Ok, thats what I was wondering if using the nut with the narrow spacing will have any adverse affect. I have a friend who has a metal shop so maybe what I'll do is take off the nut and have him make machine a solid nut and just replace it. I was just planning on using the existing changer simply bec...

Question

I have a question but I'm not sure where to ask it so I will ask here and if it is not the place I would appreciate a re-direct to the appropriate area. I have been learning the 10 string PSG and I have a total knee replacement on my right knee but I have now injured my left knee. The meniscus in my...

My Project Is Started

Gentlemen: I thought I'd put up some preliminary pics of my project and I learned a whole bunch of stuff while doing this. There are lots of imperfections of which I will have to live with but I think I did pretty good for my first shot at doing this with a router. I will be making another one down ...

String Through?

George: I noticed when looking at your guitars that you do a "String Through" it seems on all your guitars, is there a specific purpose or reason for this or is it just a personal preference? I've seen some that have the metal L bracket made from stock with the string holes drilled in it a...

First I would like to say, George Piburn's lessons are more than worth the investment also, Doug Beaumier's 2 lap steel books with the backtracks are also more than well worth the investment, I used them both and got to the point that I actually posted some videos on youtube so that my kids could se...

How Tall?

Mr. Maxwell:

What is the height from the floor to the bottom of the of the cabinet? Maybe just an optical illusion but this guitar looks rather tall, I'm probably wrong though

I'm 5'7" & from the floor to the top of my knee it is 24 "

Chord Chart and Playback Out Of Sync?

Hopefully this hasn't been posted and answered already I hate being the one creating redundancy. My daughter bought BIAB 2013 for me for Christmas and I am learning how to use it. I have some songs that I have downloaded from a website that makes karaoke backtracks that I practice with simply for do...

New Question?

I'm not sure if this has been asked somewhere before but here goes, I'm thinking of purchasing Band-In-A-Box and if I understand correctly there are some songs already in the program and as well you can make your own back tracks correct? So, is there somewhere on the forum here or is there a site wh...

Silent Night 6 String C6th

Don't know if anyone has posted any Tab for this song but I spent quite a bit of time trying to figure this out. It's definitely not as easy as I thought especially when you're just starting to learn the steel. But it was fun and felt good when a friend told me I did a good job. This friend did some...
