Yes, played all over San Diego during the '70's and '80's.

O.D. Corral was one of his most well known outfits at the time.

Looking for David Sizemore

SoCal steel player deluxe, but last I heard he was living in Indiana.
Can anyone help me reconnect with him?
He played steel in my "Texas Rattlers" band but was most well known for his work in "O.D. Coral" in the San Diego are in the 1970's.
much appreciated

FS: National Chicagoan Lap Steel

Good condition with original case, screw on cable cap (with adapter), strong pickup, clean pots, no chips or cracks. Tone is fantastic! All we've had to do is install new, Stewmack key buttons (correct off-white color). Early '50's. Came from South Texas, and I haven't been able to determine who &qu...

Ha! Nice work there.

60's bass child here first became aware of it from Brian Auger's "Oblivion "Express".

Bass part killed me, can't imagine the lead.

Saw DL with Jackson Browne in Sandy Ego back in the '70's. (Bonnie Raitt opened for him. pant, pant) He took an acoustic guitar solo, and Browne would look up from the piano and nod for him to keep playing through another round. Just acoustic guitar, mind you. Brought the house down to a cheering, s...

Great to hear a cheap unit sound so good. Gives me hope for mine.

Always been a fan of DL, but unfortunately our one and only personal encounter in the late '70's was contrary.

Crossed signals, I guess.

Request: Would Someone Cover This Song?

One of my lifelong friends, Clay Blaker, co-wrote this tune (with Roger Brown), and I would be gratefully indebted if someone would play it pedal-less. (I met Tommy Detamore through Clay.) It's a dreamy love song with a great melody and progression and has been recorded by King George the Strait, an...

Herb Steiner's Silky Swing

Met Herb in another lifetime in SoCal back in the '70's when he was working with Clay Blaker.

I didn't dig the song or singing much, but Leisz sounds his usual musical-as-hell, and I would hire that drummer in a half-a second!!!! I will never understand why 95% of the drumstick owners in the world won't just simply RELAX! Thanks for posting this. I agree it's not Jim's best work, but as a s...
