Re: Autumn Leaves Two Steel Arrangement
What exactly is your diatonic tuning? I heard recently that Jerry Byrd used it but I don't remember where.Roy Thomson wrote:The first clip is played on an Acoustic Steel in a diatonic tuning.

Listen to the steel right there : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wP5Cw2y6jEI#t=1m08
It almost sounds like a theremin. great use of the pedal volume.

Here is how I do them, I didn't pratice them a lot though : http://youtu.be/tm6W2JZlnio I was holding the camera so I couldn't record it with the bar and did them over the 12th fret. But when playing with the bar, you just move it accordingly depending on the harmonic you want. Does someone have ano...

Tune of the Month for October - Crazy by Willie Nelson
I participated to "Tune of the month" last month and it was a good experience : http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/viewtopic.php?t=232136 I think it's time to post a new tune for the month of october. Personally, I would suggest : - Autumn leaves : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YSiIe60HigA - ...

Hi Mike, I just bought your Bebop Lap Steel Guitar book less for the songs than the exercices and explanations. I just skimmed through it rapidly but I like the explanations. In fact, that's what I'm looking for in a book. I don't want to learn to play this or that song, I want to understand how to ...

In the case of C, let's say your at fret 12, you move up to fret 15 and it give G-Bb-C. I use it mostly for transitions so I gues...

Jean, Do you have a price for a double eight? Jean-Sebastien have bought his steel from Tremblay Guitars and they currently have a double 6 strings at 449$ (canadian dollars) : http://www.tremblayguitars.com/products/steel/index.php?serial=ls6m056 It could give you an idea of how much they would as...

Re: My new Tremblay
Good looking fry pan! Would you mind telling us how much it cost? (hoping it will convince other members to buy one!) I also own a Tremblay and I see more and more members here buying them. That guy lives is from Quebec (my province) and I'm really proud of it. He builds low price custom lap steels ...
