Nice job on the mods Chuck. That should take an already killer 12 string guitar to a new level.

Simmons S-12, Universal-E9/B6, 7+5 * * * $OLD !! ***

My 2007 Simmons S-12 is looking for a new home. I purchased it from a fellow forum member back in October of 2011, but playing pedal steel just didn’t work out for me like I had hoped. I have recently switched over to a Duessenberg Pomona 6 Lap Steel instead and have found my groove. This guitar has...

I purchased a Duezzy located in the U.K. 3 weeks ago. It was shipped through the U.K. postal service, and the shipping charges with Customs charges came to $250.00 total, $185.00 for U.K. postal, $65.00 for U.S. customs. I don't know how that will compare to the postal service fees in Germany, but h...

Hi all, I managed to work out a deal and am now awaiting the arrival of the Pomona 6 from the gentlemen who was selling one on the British Steelies Society Forum. It was a bit of a nail biter, seeing as how we are a half a world away, but we got it all sorted out and I am thrilled. These Duessy Pomo...

FOUND-THANKS - On the hunt !!..Duesenberg Pomona 6 Lap Steel

I'm on the hunt for one of these, so I thought I'd check here first just in case someone has, or knows of one tucked away that they would love to convert back into cash.

Thanks

Hi Mark,

The Pomona 6 Lapsteel guitar by Duesenberg might be of interest to you. It would give you at least some, if not all of sounds and tone that you are looking for.

That Melobar SureGrip, as it was called, looks like it was just the ticket for those of us in the Left Hand Impaired club. Unfortunately, they're as rare as hens teeth. Amazon, Ebay, and Google all come up with Zero available. I'm glad that I managed to get one of the last Stews SP1's before they al...

I received the Shubb RR2 slide and I was able to customize it as I had hoped. Using 3/4" wide velcro, I installed strips of the hook portion on each side of the slide, and then fashioned a strap out of the loop portion. With this configuration, as seen below, I will be able to position the fing...

I just received the Stews SP1 slide and I am thrilled. Shy of somehow having my forefinger surgically implanted with a tone bar, things were not looking good at all for my journey into the world of playing pedal steel guitar. It appears that there are only 4 more of these available before they are d...

There's a guy who sells on Ebay named Stew, I've corresponded with him about arcane slide guitar matters. He does a nice bar with a slit all the way up to the tip, so you could adapt it to a few different strap arrangements. http://www.ebay.com/itm/STEWS-Guitar-Slide-Tone-Bar-CUSTOM-SP1-USA-/360403...

Just getting back into it at the ripe old age of 62. Found this forum during my early research, and that has truly been a God send. Decided to go for a 12'er because I'm a rocker at heart and thought I just might want some of those lower notes at some point in time. Recently did a trade for a Simmon...
