While I own and understand the Stewart is a power amp "only", Many use the Tone Block as a "power amp" relying on pedal boards, pods, Etc. So I figured it was in the realm of comparison in terms of power. I currently have used the Stewart with a mixer as a PA, a Fodera or Aguilar...

Anyone owned both?
How do they compare?
Is one significantly more powerful?

Bonus Question:
Anyone compared either of these to say a GK MB200 or 500? How about Aguilar Tone Hammer 350? With its parametric mid sweep, this one seems like a steel guitar dream.

These look nearly identical to Jeff Genzler's Shuttle Bass Amps.

The Direct out probably wasn't designed to "power" or drive a speaker. It is usually to send signal to a mixer. A powered speaker could work too.

It seems there was a leg clip version, and a plug in model like the Jordan BossTone with the male plug built in.

Anyone know anything about these? I have only heard of one other steeler owning one. Plugs in like a BossTone, has a 3 way selector knob. On the side are holes for adjusting internal trim pots for boost/gain. Similar to a Goodrich Matchbox or Lil Izzy I believe. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpi...

Waiting for the caps to fail seems like a bad idea especially if you have the skills and cash to maintain it.

It's an old Shure P.A. head. If you Google it, there's a bunch of stuff on the net. I think Shure's website has a PDF manual available. From the late 60's.
