Who's the Steeler? - Sweet Sadie by the Stylistics

Heard this on the way home today. Sweet Sadie by the Stylistics - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AXFY6pe-oXo I remember playing this song in the USAF Band about 40 years ago. With fresh ears today, I noticed the steel guitar with a flanger. Any idea who would be playing steel? According to Wikipedi...

I believe this recording was from German television in the '60's. Best Reg...

Definitely Buddy Emmons.

A vinyl record purchase in the mid-1980's of "Buddy Emmons Sings Bob Wills" from ZIA Records in Tempe, AZ inspired me to take up the pedal steel.

Sorry to learn of your father’s passing. I met him in April 2016 when I purchased a Emmons PP D10 from him. I picked it up at his home at Happy Trails in NW metro Phoenix. I recall he also had an Excel guitar there. I believe it was an 8 string configured in an A6 tuning. I also think Bud mentione...

Sorry to learn of Dennis' passing. I bought my black Mullen U12 from him in 1992. I saw him several times over the years. He liked for me to play an archtop guitar of his when I was by the shop back in the 90's. I also remember he was involved in bringing a few Jeff Newman Seminars to Casa Grande, A...

A transformer change is necessary unless you can find a good 230V to 120V step down transformer. I recalled using such transformers when touring Europe in the USAF band with US wired equipment.

These should be commonly found around US military bases.

The Blues Jr has never been manufactured in China. The new version IV is made in Mexico like its predecessor. Upgrades on this version include added head room which should be welcome for some here on this forum. https://shop.fender.com/en-US/guitar-amplifiers/vintage-pro-tube/blues-junior-iv/2231500...

I am using the UA-610-B pre & Teletronix LA-2A limiter plug ins (included) with my 78 PP.

For guitar, I am using the 55 Tweed Deluxe and the Plexi plug-ins (purchased).

I have been thinking about getting the Eden WT plug in. Anyone try this?
