Herb-
It isn't lacquered at all. It would be a serious chore to clean, for sure.

Early/Mid 70's Emmons S10 with Denim Finish
http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1504/11137_IMG_2420_1.jpg A few weeks back I bought an amplifier from a gentleman outside NYC. He doesn't use the internet, and has no real idea what his denim wrapped (actual denim) Emmons is worth. He's considering selling, as he downsizes to prepare to move ...

This is more of a "looking to rent" sort of thing
So I'm playing two dates in NYC in early December and would prefer not to fly my steel out from Seattle. Are there any shops in NYC that rent pedal steels? I can't find anything online, but maybe some locals know. Conversely, if there are any forum members will to rent me one of theirs, I'd be inter...

Mid-70's Sho~Bud Pro I RKL issues... help?
Hey all- I've got a pretty cool steel here, but I'm suddenly having issues with my RKL that are confounding me. Here's the problem: when I use RKL to lower my 6th (G# to G) it goes about 80 percent of the way, maxing out the pull available and leaving the pitch still sharp of G. Then, when I back th...

WTT My 1967 ZB Custom d10 for you s10 of some kind...
... So I think the title says most everything I can think of. As you can see, it isn't a traditional looking ZB. It has the odd rose thing on the front, but I believe the finish is original (as #1085 is also the same black). I'm interested in vintage Sho~Bud gear (A Pro?), but would entertain all ki...

ZB Custom D10 pull rods? Knee levers?
I know this is a long shot, but I'm hoping that somebody in the forum might have some old ZB pull rods laying about, and maybe even (if I'm crazy lucky) a knee lever that could be used as an RKR. Anybody?

Thanks for the info, Greg! I appreciate it. As it happens, I was told by Jeff @ Show Pro that you might be the guy to speak with about tracking down a LKR for this instrument. Any ideas? Also, is this the same Don Edwards who made the volume pedals? A quick Google suggests that he was both a pedal s...

ZB Custom D10
I just picked up this 1969 (?) ZB Custom D10. It needs some love, but it plays fairly well. It's currently an 8+3, but I'm hoping to add another knee. The serial number is 1088, and the logo is missing from the front. It looks the flower design was added afterwards, though I can't be sure. Anybody o...
