My new to me Sho Bud

Well after 50 years of playing my MSA I finally got me another guitar. Being left handed has its downfall. This is a ‘71 Professional D10 with 8&4. A one owner guitar that has not been played much. I had to change it from Day to Emmons and this is the first time to see the rack and barrel system...

Sho Bud rack and barrel parts

I’m getting a ‘71 ShoBud Professional this weekend and will probably need some extra parts. Are the any available for the rack and barrel system?

Here is mine. It is a rebuild of a ‘73 MSA Classic. I built a new red oak body and covered it with red formica. I put on aluminum necks. All the other hardware is original MSA. And of course it is left handed. Not to brag, but a lot of people that have heard it, says it is one of the best sounding M...

Thank Bill. Lot of nice stuff on there. I had all of Lloyd’s vinyls but lost them all in a hurricane. Greenblue was a single release in 1969 and I remember hearing it played on KIKK AM out of Houston while riding around in my car. They always played it going into the news break.

I had a great time, also. I don't play near as much as I'd like to. Here's my old/rebuilt 73 MSA. Same hardware, but new hardwood body and mica. New aluminum necks also. Oh yeah, it backwards, too.

E T and the Texas Troubadours get another player back together. Pete was such a nice man and great guitar player. I had the pleasure and privilege to play with Pete a few times. He will be missed greatly.

Dustin, I got the aluminum necks by a lucky accident. I posted a bunch of pics on my Facebook page when I started my rebuild and lucky me a steel player friend mentioned that he had the 2 aluminum necks that he got from someone. ( I'll have to ask him where) he was intending to do a rebuild on his o...

Dustin, I think the actual re-mica-ing the guitar is not hard. I recently did a total rebuild on my '73 Classic. I even built a new hardwood cabinet. Had to totally disassemble ALL of the hardware. The old mica comes off pretty easy with a heat gun. Then just a matter of cleaning up the wood to regl...

73 MSA Lefty

Here's my old, new 73MSA that I did a complete facelift on. I built a new hardwood body from red oak, put on 2 new aluminum necks that I got from Gary Carriger, covered it with holly berry colored mica, cleaned all of the mechanics and polished a lot. Also added the aluminum strips along the front. ...

Hotel Cancellation at Dallas Show

If anyone needs to make a cancellation at the Sheriton DFW hotel on the March 10th, 11th, or 12th, please let me know. I was able to book the 10th, but they were booked full for the other two nights. Post it here or email me so I will know sooner.
