Thanks to Tommy Cass
I just got back my three guitars from Tommy Cass. I had brought them to his shop week or so earlier. My Sierra S10 keyless needed to be cut down three full inches--it must have been originally played by one tall dude! Tommy also re-arranged the pedals and knees on a Dekley Extended E9 I picked up in...

I Love mine too!
I'm just a beginner, and this has been a great instrument for me. It is amazingly compact. Also, the build quality is really something. I always say that if Q had issued James Bond a pedal steel, it would be an SGI.

Buy ths Amp Somebody!
Hi, I just bought one of these in ostrich burgundy w/ the Fox chip mod from another Forum member. It is a lot darker than the pictures--really elegant. A great sounding amp. In my opinion, this is a bargain price! I paid more for mine.
Best regards, Dan

Rack and Barrel
Hi, I'm a novice player, but after reading the rack and barrel posts on the Forum and diving in, I found that my 6140 plays really well and stays in tune. I took apart and redid all of the brass barrels. I also lubricated all of the moving parts. I have to say it's one sweet guitar. I was tempted by...

EV TL-806 Cab Done
I finally got around to making an EV TL-806 Cab for one of the EVM-12L speakers that were in the original combo version. In matching 57 Chevy teal, of course!

Re: 6140 Sho Bud
Daniel, Just read the post on your guitar and thought I would furnish the information I have. I haven't done this for a while because it was taking too much time. Your guitar, Model 6140 ser. # 1384 was built 8/10/71 Built by L.T. (don't know who) Checked by Shot Jackson I think, that's what the in...

Update
I'm now in the final phase. I still have to make the front and back panels and then cover them with Tolex. All the hardware is on, except the rubber feet. Here's a photo:

Tolex Done!
I have now painted the inside of the cab, and today I applied the teal Tolex. I think that the teal will look good with the old aluminum knobs of the 400. It was my first time Tolexing, and it came out pretty well, all things considered. http://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix1029/11103_S500photo_1.j...

Session 400 Conversion
I have finally gotten around to converting my Session 400 (aka Hernia 400) to an amp head. My Session 400 has 2 12" EV EVM-12Ls. I haven't decided what to do about a cabinet yet. I was looking yesterday at the plans for the EV TL-806 cab that would use just one of my EVM-12s. It looks compact e...

Sho-Bud 6140 Question
Hi, I'm a new member of the forum who recently bought a Sho-Bud 6140 with six pedals and one knee. Thanks to all of the excellent posts on the rack and barrel system on the SGF site, I have redone the undercarriage and it now stays in tune and sounds really good. It,s setup as an E9 with the last th...
