I use an Eleven Rack along with a digi 003 as interfaces into my protools. I use protools 9 now, but started with 8.02.

The rack records very well and the amp/cab/mic simulations are superb.

I was wondering what Amp/Cab/mic setup you use for the Steel Bruce?

Steel guitar on Jamey Johnson's cover of The Door is Always

The door is Always Open has one of the finest recordings of a Steel Guitar I have heard. Cowboy Eddie Long plays so sweet, but the sound he and the engineer T.W. Cargile got on that recording just sends shivers up my spine. Does anyone know the gear used, and the Pro Tools effects that were used to ...

Double neck 8 Fender lap steel - What's it worth?

I have a pretty beat up D8 Fender lap steel I came across in a garage sale. The strings pass through the pick ups. How can I date it, and what is it worth?

Larry,

For a blues in A often times I use A B C D E F3 G, and yes I can find all of those notes moving the bar, I'm new to the 6th side of the world and am looking for some tried and true runs. I watched Mike Sigler play these using the 7th pedal several years ago at the Chatanooga show.

I need legs for a vintage Fender double

Purchasedthis fine double neck 8 string lap steel, but it has no legs. I'd love to get some to play it standing up as its a little bulky to play on my lap. Anyone know where I can but some extendable legs for this fine vintage axe?

Thanks Joey, On C6th I'm looking for a scale that uses the 7th pedal that raises the 3rd and 4th strings a whole step.

Still it never hurts to have the scales on both necks.
