I'm really looking forward to hear Joshua Hedley's album when it's out. I guess it will be in the late 60's/early 70's style. He did a great performance at The Grand Ole Opry House a couple of weeks ago with a killer band. Here's a from the American Songwriter Magazine about Josh signing for Jack Wh...

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bPyyEB3jv-Q Brand new. What do you guys think? I can't see the clip (maybe it's because I'm European?) but by the title my guess is that it's a Zephaniah Ohora song from his album This Highway? Zephaniah and Jim Campilongo really nailed that late 60's Bakersfield/Mer...

Thanks Abe! You nailed the influences (and maybe some Jimmy Day should be put in the mix too).

Whoever designed it is a true master of his or her craft. The genius behind the cover is Chris Wilkinson. A British gentleman nowadays living in California. He's also a great guitar player and used to play a lot with the great country/rockabilly/hillbilly-singer Charlie Thompson. Check him out at h...

Nice looking 'Bud there, Johan, though it doesn't look like an S-10. Love the album cover, too... While we're talking Dale Watson and the short list of "real" country music, let's not forget Marty Stuart & the Superlatives. I saw Jennifer Nettles on TV the other night with Dan Galysh ...

The problem with classic country right now is that no one is writing and producing new “old country” style material that the market wants to pay for. I hear ya! We do about 50% originals but as you say there's no money in it. If you want to play country music traditional style you'd better keep...

Going to see Dale Watson play this year. Saw him play last year and the year before that. He sounds great to my ears. Dale and the boys are great and they sure keeps it country! And so does a lot of other bands in Texas. Like all the bands on the 'Heart of Texas' label or Jeff Woolsey for example. ...

I see that you're Norwegian. We played the "Oslo Opry" at Buckley's a couple of years ago. That was my first and only visit so far but I heard that Norway has one of the best country scences in Europe so hopefully we'll be back.
