I know the tuning,,need to know what gauge each string is..Are they the same as e9th,,minus strings 1 and 2,,and 9 and 10?

Gonna Keep It.
From all the replies I guess I will keep the Bud as it is. Will have to find someone in the area that can make the needed adjustments to it. It pedals real hard,and the c pedal rod seems a little too far from b than b is from a.

Rack And Barrel ShoBud Change
I have a 1973 ShoBud Model 6139 that I would like to change to something easier to deal with.Any suggestion on an inexpensive change? I just don't care for rack and barrel.

Paul,Yes I was asking about the 1st string compensator.I just watched your video about it on you tube.I notice the slight out of tune sound when I use those 1st and 2nd string.

Holes On Foot Pedals
The foot pedals on my steel have 2 holes in them.Right now the ball is in the top hole--nearest the cross bracket.I have top mount ball joints and I sometimes find it a problem to connect them to the balls as they hit the bracket. Would moving them to the bottom hole make the action harder or softer...
