I’ve been tending toward 705 in front and E66 in back. I wouldn’t say favorite for sure, but they get me what I need for general purposes.

I have a 705 that normally stays in the E9 and E66 in C6. I also have a Truetone, Mullen G2 pickup, and a low output guitar style pickup on a Mullen bobbin. I have a 10-1 and Lollar Stringmaster I’m waiting to receive. The Billy Bob’s wood was courtesy of Gregg Guitars.

MSA Legend

I picked up my Legend XL back in June and have been on the road and in studios most of the time since. My guitar is constructed from roasted rock maple with wood trim from the original dance floor at the famous “World’s Largest Honky Tonk” Billy Bob’s Texas in Fort Worth. I am an endorsing a...

I'm going to order a Sarno Black Box for that purpose. In talking to Brad, I described basically what you have and he thought the Black Box might serve me well. Good luck!

I hate the current trends going on in country that have moved away from steel, but I believe it's all a cycle. I truly think the cycle is coming back around. With the popularity of Sturgill, Stapleton, Midland, and groups like this, the cycle is coming back around to more organic styles which will o...

I have an SD10 I love and a D10 on order. Finest out there in my opinion. The mechanism is so smooth and precise. And standard split tuning on all strings has changed my life!

SPC and South Plains are the same, haha! It's a very affordable junior college with a great program. Shoot a pm or a Facebook message and I'd love to tell you more. Scholarships are available and I'd be happy to help how I can and put you in touch with people. Best of luck brother! A good act score ...

The steel instructor at SPC is Steve Williams. There are 3 players in the program now I believe. Also, some great players around that area I learned from.

I've hear great things about each of the above mentioned. I really enjoyed and learned a lot from my experience at South Plains in Levelland, Texas. Commercial music program geared at people working after school. You take live and studio sound experience, as well as a minimum of one video class. It'...

I dig it for personal inspiration. I used both cabs with a Walker rig and it sounded cool for me, but that was about the extent of it. Unless the sound man is involved and pans them, it probably won't make much difference. Using stereo effects, it might be cool to make the room spin if done right. M...

Site with tab and clips. Can't find anymore.

I saw a post about the site I'm thinking of some months ago but can't remember the name. A guy recorded some killer versions of tunes, a lot of jazz, and had tabs for everything. It wasn't rebel or anything easy to find. Awesome stuff and my recent C6 study has led me back to wishing I could find th...

Franklin stereo outputs

Are the stereo outs on PF's red and yellow steel stereo or one for each neck? Or dry tuner out maybe? Also, does anyone know how he routes to the pedal from these? I guess it would have to be a two in two out pedal. Thanks!

Looks awesome to me! I haven't listened to it but I think it's a cool setup! The earthquaker Avalanche run is a pretty hip version of the same idea.
