The '30s? How is the top of the pedal so much older than the rest of it? Because the top of the pedal was not always a Volume/Tone pedal part. It started as a Crocker Motorcycle pedal. https://bb.steelguitarforum.com/userpix2020-03/232_images2_1.jpg ...must have been great to be able to vary the vo...

If it's a typical 1/2-13 tapped thread, purchase a bottoming 1/2-13 tap and run in and out several times to clean up the threads. The same thing happened on my Williams and that's how I fixed it. Be sure to also put a light oil in the socket so it won't seize up again. Harking back to my days of ol...

I was really 'lucky' when setting up a couple of Roland Cube 60 units for a similar end-use...I just ran a (normal mono guitar) cable from the 'Tuner Out' jack on the back of Cube #1 to the Input Jack of Cube #2....works perfectly ! Had to *&%$ around a bit to build some double-pole footswitches...

You're not imagining the difference between the XL and the GX.... Quite a lot was said at the time about this back at the Vguitar Forum: https://www.vguitarforums.com/smf/index.php?topic=8931.0 What you treat as 'take home info' is up to you, but I can tell you that the XL is still considered the be...

I have a 10' cable with the GS-4 and NP2X ends; I really like it. The diameter does make me worry about it breaking or kinking, but I've been using it off and on for the past 10 years and it's been fine so far. The capacitance is certainly an argument against it though. Also thanks for that video, ...

Soldered, Steve....
...and while it's not rocket surgery, there IS a correct way to do it.

Someone much more knowledgable than me will probably sort you out, but in case they don't, you could do worse than buying one of these.... https://www.amazon.com/Grip-Thread-Pitch-Gauge-SAE/dp/B004ROIU2A ...but since you've already got a mobile sample, I would be tempted to take it to a plumbing war...

If you don't have any golfing friends, I would go to any shop selling parts for acoustic guitars and get some (wooden) bridge pins..even if you had to whittle them down just a bit, that's got to be the easiest and cheapest way rather than taking your steel to bits...as David Ball said much earlier. ...
