I also think it is really a ZB. But, with new fretoards, knee levers, pedals, and possibly new legs. Everything else is pretty much identical, including the body. Of course, it is possible that he copied a ZB and made everything, including all castings, but I doubt it.

Are we sure it's actually a Marlen? Never saw a student model, and never knew Marlen to have a volume pot hooked to a foot pedal.

Unless that is one of Kevin Hatton's later ZBs (never seen one), that is NOT a ZB undercarriage. As far as I can see, it's just a ZB body.
