Here's my dad playing his back in the late 80's or early 90's. It's the first lap steel I ever saw or played. He got it at a pawn shop near the airport in Alexandria, Louisiana. According to this article / obit:

Is the steel by any chance located in Puerto Rico?

Reason for asking, is that I sold an almost identical 1953 Supro to a gentleman in Puerto Rico many years ago, and thought this might be the same one.

I posed the question on the "Lap Steel Lunatics" group on Facebook, and received the answer "Ono Wahine" by Nawahi Para'uchi. Not much to be found under a Google search for the song or artist. Must be kind of obscure. I like the way it sounds, though.
