Glad I could be of service! I would definitely recommend replacing them whenever you can get around to it. If they are soldered into the board and you feel little extra froggy one day, replace the jacks with good 'ole switchcraft jacks (shorting type, of course) and wire them to the board.

When your hands are on the guitar strings while plugged in, is the buzz inaudible or just less? How is the buzz while plugged in but not touching the guitar? If your hands on the strings eliminate the buzz, replace the input jack. The jack is a closed circuit, grounding the input of the amp until pl...

If this is the "dish" style plug, you can get a more "vintage correct" plastic cover for it which should eliminate this problem.

True Analog delays all have some sort of Low-pass filter (cuts highs). This is to reduce the noise levels that are inherent to analog delay chips like BBD's. Different manufacturers using different chips, however, use different amounts of filtering to reduce the noise levels, as every chip type is d...

Here's a trick for replacing pots but keeping the integrity of the amp. Unless it's a sealed pot, the pot should have four tabs on one side that will allow you to remove the cover. After the cover is removed, you can then swap out the original carbon wafer (black ring) with the wafer out of a new, i...

Yeah, that's a real common problem. Simplest thing to do is re-tension the contact at the bottom of the socket. if it's accessible. If not, try a new bulb. If that don't work, get a new socket. They're fairly cheap.

50 Watts per speaker will be fine. Remember, the amp is "seeing" the speakers as a single load, so combined, the speakers can handle 100 watts. Remember to use a total load of 8 ohms.

First off, make sure you dont have a bad cable. I only say that because my CS barely hums at all. Shielding can be accomplished by a couple different means. The easiest is foil tape. Simply cover the Pickup cavity in said tape and ensure some sort of ground connection. The better option is conductiv...

Some good advice so far....Here's a few other things to try: Unplug all preamp tubes. Turn amp on and listen. If it pops, then you know the problem occurs in the Power amp and related circuitry. If it doesn't pop, plug in the preamp tubes one at a time beginning with the Phase inverter(turning amp o...

Couple things to try: Jostle the amp and see if the Reverb crashes at a normal volume level. If it does, replace the Reverb driver tube (12AT7). I think it's V3. If the reverb does not crash at a normal volume level, try replacing the reverb recovery tube (12AX7) which I think is V4. If neither of t...
